Thanks to the generous donations received from their travel partners Trees4Travel recently announced they had planted over 1 million trees – a really exciting and significant milestone. To put that into perspective, that number of trees can cover 644.38 hectares or 1,591.61 football pitches. As we all know human activities, from burning fossil fuels to cutting down rainforests, have been a major contributor to the record temperatures we are witnessing around the world. The knock-on effect is the extreme weather events that ae causing destruction to environments, biodiversity, homes, lives and livelihoods. However, collectively we can help lesson our impact on the environment and contributing a small amount to offset our carbon emissions when we go abroad on holiday is a positive way to start.
